User Guide: BSWH Marble Falls – Colorado & Pedernales

Overview

The Colorado & Pedernales is a high-performance divisible collaboration space consisting of two rooms (Colorado & Pedernales). These spaces can function independently or combine into a single large theater. Colorado room features dual and Pedernales features single 85″ Samsung 4K displays and a Cisco Codec EQ integrated with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR).

Room Modes

  • Individual Mode: Each room operates as a standalone space with its own local sources and displays.
  • Combined Mode: When the partition is open, the rooms function as one.
    • Master Control: The Cisco Navigator in Colorado (the larger room) becomes the primary controller for the entire space.

Content Sharing

Sharing content is handled through the native Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) interface on the Cisco Navigator.

1. Connect Your Device

  • Room PC: The dedicated in-room computer is connected via the AVoIP system and is ready for use.
  • Laptop: Joining the meeting and TURNING AUDIO OFF, you can share content to the screens. 

2. Sharing to the Displays

  1. On the home screen, tap the Share button. 
  2. A dialog will open showing available content sources. 
  3. To select the Room Pc: Swipe inward from the right edge of the screen to open the Control Panel. 
  4. In the Control Panel, tap Share Options and choose PC. 
  5. (Optional) Tap View on the sharing dialog to see the content on the room displays before others see it. 
  6. Tap Share in call to begin presenting to remote participants. 
  7. Tap Hide when finished. 

Control Panel & Custom Controls

The Control Panel can be accessed at any time (in or out of a call) by swiping from the right side of the Navigator screen.

Available Settings:

  • Camera: Change camera modes (e.g., SpeakerTrack) or manually adjust pan/tilt/zoom.
  • Microphone: Toggle Noise Removal or optimize for a single/multiple voices.
  • Speakers: Adjust the in-room speaker volume.

Audio & Microphones

  • Ceiling Mics: Shure MXA920 beamforming arrays automatically capture audio from the entire room. The LED rings turn Red when muted via the Cisco panel.
  • Wireless Mics: Colorado has one Handheld and one Bodypack/Lapel microphone.
    • Pick up a mic from the charging dock (at the podium in Colorado) to use.
    • Return microphones to the dock after use to ensure they remain charged.

System Shutdown

  1. From the Control Panel tap “Standby” with the power Icon above it to put it to sleep. 
  2. The system will also turn off on its own when the room is vacant after 30 minutes or when the codec goes into standby (sleep) on its own. 
  3. The system will power off all 85″ displays and reset the room for the next user.
